We were recently tasked with helping to protect an historic burying ground in Plymouth, CT which was established in 1747. The Plymouth Burying Ground is the final resting place for Veterans of the French and Indian War, the Revolutionary War, and the War of 1812.
There were 3 Ash Trees along the perimeter of the cemetery and the neighboring property that had died from Emerald Ash Borer, an insect that has been destroying our states Ash Tree population and were now at risk of falling and damaging many of the headstones in the burying ground. They were chosen for removal due to the inherent risk of damage to the property.
Our crews took extreme caution during the removal process to avoid any damage to the nearby fragile headstones and surrounding landscape by utilizing their skills and equipment by lowering every piece of the trees in a controlled and safe manner.
We also removed 1 Spruce Tree located in the front of the church, pruned 2 Sugar Maples and 1 Locust Tree in the surrounding area to improve the overall health of the remaining trees
